Player Ratings: Poor Paul Pogba & shaky Smalling as Man United draw with West Ham

David de Gea – Didn’t have anything to do whatsoever. The clean sheet does mean he wins the Golden Glove though! 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Defended well but the quality was lacking in the final third. 5/10

Chris Smalling – Looked shaky and nervous. Hopefully, that poor performance is out of his system ad he’s back to his best for the FA Cup final. 4/10

Phil Jones – Looked solid at the heart of the back five. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – He’s always so cool, calm and collected. The Ice Man is improving all the time. 6/10

Luke Shaw – Had an excellent first-half, but was absolutely atrocious in the second 45. A real mixed bag. 5/10

Scott McTominay – It was nice to see him back in the team. I’d like to see him get involved more when United are attacking though. 5/10

Paul Pogba – He just couldn’t get involved in the first 45. Pogba grew into the game but his teammates need more attacking quality from him. 3/10

Ander Herrera – I genuinely forgot that he was playing at times. Just didn’t get involved at all. 4/10

Jesse Lingard – His movement was good as per usual. He also tested the keeper a couple of times. 5/10

Alexis Sanchez – Worked hard, showed a few nice touches and made some decent runs. Average. 5/10

Substitutes:

Marcus Rashford – Didn’t do much in his 15 minutes on the field.

Ashley Young – Not enough time to mark.

Eric Bailly – Not enough time to mark.
