Player Ratings: United 2-2 Fulham

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about the first goal. If we’re being picky he could’ve pushed the initial shot that led to Darren Bent’s goal a bit further out. 5/10

Rafael – His crossing was woeful. Bombed forward at every opportunity but struggled when tested. What happened to the Rafael of last year? 3/10

Chris Smalling – Very poor for both goals. He didn’t seem to gel with Vidic and communication was at a minimum. 3/10

Nemanja Vidic – No pace. The Fulham attackers just left him for dead when they countered. 4/10

Patrice Evra – Perhaps our best player today, especially when Januzaj came on. He overlapped at every opportunity and got to the byline on numerous occasions. Final ball let him down though. 6/10

Michael Carrick – Had a shocking first half and couldn’t seem to find a red shirt. Played slightly better in the second and took his goal well. 5/10

Darren Fletcher – Struggled and lacked creativity. Always looked for the easy five yard pass and didn’t get stuck in enough. 4/10

Ashley Young – Woeful and far too predictable. Always looked to cut back inside and use his left-foot which made it easy for defenders. 3/10

Wayne Rooney – Didn’t get on the ball anywhere near enough. He struggled to influence the game like we know he can. Played well in centre-mid when he dropped back. 5/10

Juan Mata – Average. He managed to bag an assist but that was about it. 5/10

Robin van Persie – Scored but offered little else. Similar to Rooney; He needed to get on the ball far more and have an effect on the game. 5/10

Subs:

Adnan Januzaj – Looked dangerous when he came on, and at least he tried to beat his man. Should’ve started/ 5/10

Antonio Valencia – Bombed forward but he didn’t really get an opportunity to get the ball into the box. 4/10

Javier Hernandez – Didn’t offer anything. He struggles to hold the ball up. 4/10
