Manchester United Football Club may not have actually agreed a fee to sign Romelu Lukaku as of yet, if you believe reports from talkSPORT. They say that Everton sources are telling them that rumours of a deal are premature, and a fee is yet to be agreed regarding the 24-year-old.
This piece of news came just hours after reports surfaced suggesting that United and the Merseyside club had sorted out a £75million deal that would see Lukaku move to Old Trafford.
TalkSPORT does add that United are confident of getting a deal done, but in this game, literally anything could happen.
Whether this is just a tactic from the Goodison Park club in the hope that Chelsea will beat United’s offer remains to be seen, but as of right now, I genuinely don’t know who to believe.
What’s good is it seems that Mourinho is close to securing one of his top transfer targets in the form of the Belgium international, but it is now up to Edward Woodward to act quick and push this deal over the line.
Lukaku is Premier League proven and is one of the best in the business at finding the back of the net. For me, he could well make the difference in turning all those draws from last season into victories.
