Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend, with a home game against Aston Villa in the offing.
Credit where it’s due, Dean Smith has worked wonders with his Villans squad and they’re certainly a side on the up. Make no mistake about it, the Red Devils will have their work cut out for them.
With injuries decimating the squad, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have thinned-out options to choose from – particularly in midfield. Anyway, let’s delve right into the predicted Man United XI vs Aston Villa:
After rest in midweek, David de Gea will be fit and raring to go for this one. No doubt he’ll have a somewhat busy afternoon.
Brandon Williams more than deserves to keep his place in the team at left-back, while opposite him, Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod at right-back. Harry Maguire will start, alongside Victor Lindelof.
Scott McTominay will return from injury at the base of midfield. It’ll be brilliant to have the young Scot back as he has been a real driving force for this team. Fred will start, as will Andreas Pereira. Both of whom had a break on Thursday.
Anthony Martial will lead the line, though we’ll need to see far more from him in terms of effort. Daniel James gets the nod on the right-hand side, while Marcus Rashford completes the starting XI.
