Last night’s results mean a win over Bournemouth this coming weekend could see Manchester United back in the top-four, albeit having played a game more than Chelsea.
With that in mind, the motivation is there for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to scoop up all three points and keep the pressure on. The 20-time Premier League champions have been in brilliant form of late, while Eddie Howe’s Cherries come into this one with massive struggles. Surely we have to feel confident heading into this one?
Fortunately for the Norwegian, the team pretty much picks itself at the moment, but let’s get right into the line-up anyway…
Check out the predicted Man United XI vs Bournemouth in full here:
David de Gea made a couple of smart saves against Brighton though he’ll have to be at his best again here.
The rejuvenated Luke Shaw starts at left-back, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod over on the right-hand side. Captain Harry Maguire partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of defence, in a partnership that has really been flourishing of late.
Nemanja Matic will once again sit at the midfield’s base. He’ll be tasked with protecting the back four while keeping things ticking over in an offensive capacity. Paul Pogba will be playing alongside the Serbian, with Bruno Fernandes playing just ahead of them.
Anthony Martial will lead the line for the Red Devils, with Marcus Rashford playing off the left flank and Mason Greenwood starting over on the right.
Again, Solskjaer will have ample options to call upon off the substitutes bench if needed, but I’d like to think this team is more than capable of claiming all three points…
