Predicted Man United XI vs Sheffield United (Premier League, 2019)

After what feels like an absolute age, Manchester United Football Club return to competitive action this weekend.

The Red Devils head to the Steel City to take on an in-form Sheffield United side managed superbly by Chris Wilder. Make no mistake about it, The Blades cannot be taken lightly.

United have been handed a small boost, mind, with Dean Henderson unavailable to play against his parent club. He has been in sublime form this term.

Anyway, let’s dive right into the predicted United XI, with a couple of veteran presences returning after suspension and injury…

David de Gea will obviously start in between the sticks for this one. no doubt he’ll be tested heavily throughout this one.

Ashley Young brings some experience to the table fresh off his suspension, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka starting over on the right. Victor Lindelof gets the nod at the heart of the defence, alongside Harry Maguire.

Nemanja Matic comes into the team in place of the injured Scott McTominay. Fred will play, as will Andreas Pereira. Paul Pogba, unfortunately, will not be fit to return.

Anthony Martial will lead the line as per usual, with Marcus Rashford playing on the left and Daniel James starting on the right.
