Predicted Starting XI: Arsenal v Manchester United

Manchester United head South to take on Arsene Wenger and Arsenal this weekend, with Louis van Gaal hoping to return his side to the top of the table after Manchester City thumped Newcastle earlier today. Only a win will do to take us to the summit, so team selection plays a huge part.

The gaffer will go into the game hoping to play on the counter attack, a front four of Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial has the ability to do just that.

The midfield pairing of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger did a good job midweek against a tough team, so they both deserve to continue.

The back five is where the problems could arise, there are a few injuries at the moment so its going to be a tough job for the boss. Matteo Darmian should return to right-back, and hopefully we’ll see Ashley Young come in at left-back after he did a superb job there for the majority of last season.

Predicted XI

De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Young; Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin; Mata, Rooney, Depay, Martial.
