Manchester United have put in two extremely positive performances in a row now, with Louis van Gaal’s side seriously picking up their game against Stoke City in particular. The manager will be looking to continue that good run of form at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Ahead of the game, United have been handed some mixed injury news. Bastian Schweinsteiger will miss the game due to an ongoing knee injury, but Phil Jones could return to the squad.
Matteo Darmian is back in the side, and the other full-back slot will be occupied by Borthwick-Jackson, who has looked excellent over recent matches.
Michael Carrick will bring that calmness back to the midfield, hopefully he’ll play alongside Morgan Schneiderlin, with Marouane Fellaini dropping out. I’d also expect Ander Herrera to come back into the fold as he provides more legs than Juan Mata does in the middle.
De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson; Carrick, Schneiderlin, Herrera; Martial, Lingard, Rooney.
