David Moyes will take charge of his first Champions League game in over fifteen years of management tomorrow. United take on Bayer Leverkusen at the Theatre of Dreams tomorrow night, and for match going fans it’ll signal the start of those bitter and cold European nights at Old Trafford.
Moyes has given us mixed injury news ahead of the game, with Rafael and Shinji Kagawa expected to be fit for the game, but Phil Jones and Danny Welbeck are set to sit this one out.
Bayer Leverkusen will certainly be no pushovers, and their star striker Stefan Kießling finished the season as Bundesliga top scorer last year, with 25 goals.
Predicted starting XI
De Gea; Fabio, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa; Rooney, Hernandez
No Vidic?
Think he may save him for the derby. The line-up for tomorrow is going to be a bit of a tombola though.
