The biggest game in Premier League history takes place today, as Liverpool head down the M62 towards Old Trafford. The two sides often produce games full of flair, fieriness and football brilliance, and United go into this one behind for the first-time in years. David Moyes will be looking to continue to win over the fans by getting one over local rivals.
If we’re being honest, Liverpool have played some great football all season-long, and United on the other hand have struggled for any real form throughout the current campaign. It seems like every time we string a couple of decent wins together, we’ve then gone on to lose the next game rather dismally – Lets hope we can avoid that today.
David Moyes is able to welcome back Nani for today’s game, and he hopes to have Jonny Evans and Rafael available after picking up knocks, too. If I were Moyes I’d go for an XI similar to that which put in an excellent performance against West Brom last week, a game in which Marouane Fellaini really controlled the midfield.
De Gea; Rafael, Smalling, Jones, Evra; Carrick, Fellaini; Mata, Rooney, Welbeck; Van Persie
