PSG ready to pounce for Man United defender who is yet to pen new deal, Jose fuming: report

Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo is being chased by Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Sun.

Apparently, Jose Mourinho is ‘fuming’ with the Old Trafford club who are yet to start contract talks with the Argentina international, his current deal runs out in 2019 and clearly, the Ligue 1 giants are trying to scoop up Rojo in a cut-price deal.

The 27-year-old centre-back has only been back from major injury for a few months, yet I’d argue that he’s our second best centre-half behind Eric Bailly.

Tying him down to a new deal is essential. He’s an excellent defender, who puts his heart and soul into absolutely everything he does on the football field, and Rojo is going to be absolutely crucial for us during the run-in.

You can totally understand why Mourinho wants to keep him at United, particularly with turgid performances coming in from both Chris Smalling and Phil Jones recently, so it’s pretty vital that the Red Devils open up contract talks soon.

As we’re approaching the business end of the season, Rojo’s fitness levels were slowly be improving. Hopefully, if we’re in contention for both the Champions League and FA Cup tournaments come late-April, he can prove to the club that he deserves a new deal.
