Radamel Falcao could yet stay at Manchester United beyond this summer, with Louis van Gaal ready to extend his loan deal till January, claim the Daily Mirror. The media outlet go on to say that if El Tigre does stay, he has already been told he won’t be first choice.
The 28-year old has had an horrific twelve months at Old Trafford, managing just four goals in his time at the club so far.
United were given a fixed fee of £40million to sign him permanently, and it was thought he would command wages of close to £300,000-a-week, which would be a huge gamble if United were to pay that outright.
Falcao clearly has talent, and it would be a wise move to give him another six months, especially with the increased games United will play if they make it into the Champions League.
