Somewhat bizarrely, Manchester United have been linked with a move for Gareth Bale over the past few weeks, and once again today, Louis van Gaal’s men are linked with a significant move for the Welshman for next summer. Bale cost Real madrid a huge £80+million just last summer, but the Madrid board are believed to be willing to cash in on the 25-year old.
The Daily Star reckon that United will have to offer Bale £300k-a-week to persuade him to come back to the Premier League, and they go on to say that Ancelotti isn’t keen on the idea of losing one of his star names.
The transfer fee being mentioned is around the £90million mark, but if this move did happen, United would have one of the best, if not the best attacking front lines in world football.
Its worth noting that this is coming from the Daily Star, who aren’t exactly regarded as one of the more reliable media sources for Manchester United news. Take this one with a pinch of salt for the time being…
