Manchester United’s squad jetted off for their pre-season tour of the United States of America yesterday; but there was a notable absentee, as Alexis Sanchez didn’t make the trip.
Sure, there were other key stars who haven’t travelled, but mostly those guys who took part in the World Cup. Now, The Peoples Person say that the Chile international has been given extra time off – as he has gone almost ten years without having a rest over the summer.
Understandably, Jose Mourinho wants the 29-year-old attacker to be in tip-top position before the Premier League season starts, and it’s expected that the #7 will join up with the squad at a later date.
After a mixed first six months at Old Trafford, you really get the feeling that these next few months are make or break for the Chilean. He’s obviously a world-class player, one of the best in the world in his position.
I love to see the self-proclaimed Special One taking every liberty for Sanchez. He knows his importance to the team, undoubtedly, he’s key to any success we have. Hopefully, Sanchez has got his feet up, is resting and recuperating, and will be good to go when United take on Leicester City on August 10th.
