Manchester United are close to announcing the signature of their first summer transfer, and its an expensive one. The usually reliable Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Manchester United have agreed a £25million plus £6million in add-ons to land Eric Bailly.
The 22-year-old Ivorian has been linked with a move to Manchester United over the last week, and he could be about to get a dream move to Old Trafford.
In terms of his style of play, Bailly is a quick, strong and physical centre-back who would bring a lot of character and ability to a struggling Manchester United back line.
Jose Mourinho clearly is a huge fan of the Sevilla centre-back, and will be looking to get this deal wrapped up before the week is out.
If there is a question mark surrounding him, it’s whether or not he’ll be able to handle the pressure of a big-money move. On top of that is his participation in the African Cup of Nations, which will rule him out of action for a couple of months every other season.
