Reported Man Utd defensive target wants to leave current club

Manchester United have reportedly shown an interest in the strong Paris Saint-Germain centre-back, Marquinhos, in recent weeks, and Louis van Gaal could’ve just received a huge boost in pursuit of the Brazilian man. According to Sport, he is pushing for a move away from his current club.

Earlier in the week, United were told that they’d have to fork out a ridiculous fee of over £100million for the 20-year old from Sao Paulo, because PSG weren’t willing to sell him unless a ridiculous transfer fee was paid.

That could all have changed now if the player himself wants a move, and if he pushes hard enough then PSG could have their hand forced and would have to lower their asking price.

He is unproven in English football and at this moment in time that worries me. We need that experienced leader at the back so desperately, and I doubt that Marquinhos could come in and control the back four at such a tender age.

Would Marquinhos be a good addition? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
