Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura was left out of their latest matchday squad, to face Amiens, according to The Metro.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that Manchester United were interested in signing Lucas during the January transfer window, and this latest news will only fuel that fire.
Manchester United haven’t had any regularity from the right-winger spot in years, and bringing in Lucas would present the club with an excellent opportunity to find a player whom they can rely upon.
This is a man who at 25, has a point to prove following being dropped from the team in favour of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
Understandably, the Brazilian has become frustrated with a lack of game-time recently, and a move away from PSG at this point in his career would certainly make sense.
Personally, I’d love it if United made the move for him. Lucas is quick, dynamic, athletic and a great set-piece taker. I feel we’re a man light in the final third, and bringing him in would certainly improve the overall outlook of the Red Devils squad. Hopefully, we see some progress on this transfer before the month ends.
