Manchester United have a whole host of club legends, and several players who have won everything there is to win at this prestigious football club. One of those men is Rio Ferdinand, and he has released his all-time Manchester United XI, of players he has played alongside.
The England centre-half obviously went with Edwin van Der Sar in goal, and alongside himself at the heart of the defence he opted for Nemanja Vidic. Arguably the best back three in Premier League history.
Another extremely strong area of the field is the full-back spots. Gary Neville plays at right-back, with the French fan favourite Patrice Evra starting in the left-back position.
Onto the midfield we go, and Ferdinand has obviously included Paul Scholes and Michael Carrick in this spot – two mainstays in the engine room throughout Ferdinand’s United days.
Ronaldo and Giggs occupy the two winger roles, and heres where it clearly got tricky for Ferdinand, as he couldn’t choose between Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez Robin van Persie and Ruud van Nistelrooy for his front two. Personally I’d go for Ruud and Rooney, but this one really is up for debate…
