Rio Ferdinand sends damning message to Man United players

Manchester United were beaten, and beaten well by an in-form Everton side yesterday. Quite frankly, 4-0 flattered the Red Devils, it could have comfortably been more.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a mammoth task on his hands. It feels as though after his excellent start as gaffer, the dressing room has once again downed their tools as the season now looks lost.

Messages of support for the manager have come from all over the show. The latest comes from Rio Ferdinand who, in a subliminal tweet, has sent a damning warning sign – presumably to the United squad…

It’s one of those memorable quotes for any United fan and today it rings truer than it ever has done before.

This club is stacked with mercenaries who care only about themselves, lining their pockets and getting their own way. I’m not going to name names but simply put, it has to change.

As Ferdinand puts it, go out there and do United proud and your legacy will never be forgotten. Right now, it feels as though this squad doesn’t really care about the club and hopefully, tweets like these with give them the jolt they need.

It’s just massively disappointing to see the biggest club in the country get taken for mugs by players, and I know player-power is greater than it has ever been before within the sport, but it’s time for United to take back control.
