Robin van Persie set to leave Man Utd permanently claims Sky Sports

Manchester United are expected to sign a number of world class players this summer, but alongside those incomings are squad members leaving the club, and the next in line who looks certain to be on his way out is Robin van Persie.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have accepted a bid for the 31-year old Dutchman as a move to Fenerbahce looks close, and the Turkish side want the move completed before the weekend is out.

Robin van Persie will always be remembered for delivering that historic 20th title for Manchester United, but now is the right time for him to leave.

It gets his huge wages off the bill, and although the reported £6.5million transfer fee seems low, it’ll benefit the club massively in the long-term.
