We all know about THAT chant that got social media talking last week. The main body of the song was based around Romelu Lukaku’s manhood, and now, just over a week later, the big Belgian has finally responded and given his thoughts.
Manchester United’s official Twitter account have seemingly asked the 24-year-old about his views on the situation – and it seems pretty clear that he wants to forget about it and move on.

Lukaku seems very appreciative that the fans are singing songs about him already, and it’s clear that he knows no offence was meant; and I think that’s the way most view that chant if I’m being honest.
I’m also delighted at the professional way it’s all been handled and I’m sure the Old Trafford crowd will be able to come up with another chant for our new striker pretty quickly.
One thing that does somewhat irritate me is the fact that the Theatre of Dreams have sung similar types of racial songs about Park Ji-Sung for about a decade – and that chant just seems to have been brushed under the carpet. What happens now? Do we keep singing that one? Or do we bin that off too…
