Old Trafford has its new cult hero at the moment, with Mancunian Marcus Rashford making a real impact on the first-team since February. The young man has received the highest praise of all, as Brazilian legend Ronaldo claims he sees some of himself in the 18-year old.
“He’s a very good young player,” Ronaldo told The Sun.
“I see some of myself in him for sure — he has courage and he’s fast and is very good with the ball.
“I think for the strikers they have to be hungry to score and I see that with him. He has an amazing future.”
Its really come out of nowhere, too. It honestly feels like Rashford has belonged in the first-team from the get-go, and he hasn’t looked at all out of place since his first inclusion in the side back in February.
He has plenty of pace, brilliant feet and a few tricks in his locker as well. The most important part to his game is the fact that he knows how to finish with aplomb, which United have been lacking at times this season.
For Rashford to receive praise like this will only further boost his confidence, and if he keeps his head screwed on properly, we could have a real player on our hands.
