Manchester United are looking likely to let Ryan Giggs go this summer, as the club legend wants to try his hand at management. Today, the 42-year old has been installed as the early favourite for the vacant Bolton Wanderers job.
That’s according to Sky Bet, who have him as the 1/4 overwhelming favourite to be in charge of their first game of the season come August.
In all honestly, this just shows exactly why Manchester United didn’t take the risk in appointing him as manager. He is untested, and the Bolton job is an excellent place for him to start.
If true that he is disappointed he didn’t get the chance to take over at Manchester United then I’m not quite sure why. Surely he knows the amount of risk involved in Edward Woodward hiring him, and although it would have been great – it isn’t the correct thing to do.
Let’s just see how he copes if he does get this Bolton job and reassess the situation in a few years time.
