Sanchez sidelined for 2-3 months, Inter & Man United to decide best way forward: report

Earlier today, we covered a story from Tancredi Palmeri in which it was reported that Alexis Sanchez would be out until 2020 with an ankle injury.

Well now the ever-reliable Simon Stone has backed that up, by claiming Sthat the Manchester United loanee is out for two/three months, meaning he’ll return in December/January.

Stone added another little snippet, though, he states that Sanchez is now flying back to Europe while Inter do their own tests. Following that, they’ll, in conjunction with United, decide what the best way forward is.

Presumably, Inter’s decision is made up of two choices – send him back to United and allow him to recover from injury in Manchester, or keep paying part of his wages and let him remain in Italy for the duration of his loan.

For United fans, I’d imagine the vast majority would prefer that Sanchez remains with the Serie A club. After all, Sanchez only had a negative impact on the dressing room so why should we suddenly expect that to change?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Sometimes, situations just don’t work out and quite frankly, Sanchez never returning to Manchester is in the best interests of everyone.

Hopefully, Inter continues to keep ahold of him, Sanchez plays well and Antonio Conte is tempted into buying him permanently come next summer.
