Sergio Ramos tells Madrid teammates he wants to leave

Manchester United’s interest in Sergio Ramos has been well documented by most media outlets in recent weeks, and today United have been given another boost in the pursuit of the experienced centre-back.

According to The Guardian, Sergio Ramos has told his current Madrid teammates that he wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Whilst this is no guarantee that he will leave Madrid, the signs are encouraging. United’s interest is genuine, and if Real Madrid will accept an offer from the Old Trafford club then I’m sure we can cope with his wage demands to bring him to United this summer.

There aren’t many better centre-backs in world football at this moment. At 29, he would bring that seniority that our back line has been lacking since the departure of Nemanja Vidic, and his win and all costs attitude would be infectious on our whole squad.

Would Ramos be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
