Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj burst onto the scene four years ago now, with the Belgian taking the Premier Leauge by storm in his debut season. However, since then, things have gone rapidly downhill for the now 22-year-old, and he could be about to leave Old Trafford.
The Daily Star translate work from DH in Belgium, claiming that AS Roma are now showing serious interest in landing Januzaj over the summer. So-much-so that they’ve hired an intermediary to try and broker a deal between all parties.
AS Roma’s technical director Monchi is a huge fan of the attackers and is keen to push through a move to sign the talent, and it would provide the player with a great opportunity to kick-start his fledgeling career.
It is a real shame. David Moyes gave him ample opportunities to showcase his talents during his time as United boss, and Januzaj repaid that faith. Since then, it feels like there has been no real backing for him from either Louis van Gaal or Jose Mourinho, and he’s struggled to implement his style of play since.
A couple of failed loan moves to both Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland have probably meant that his time as a Red Devil is now over, and it’s up to Edward Woodward to get the best possible transfer fee for the youngster.
