Sir Alex Ferguson backs Gary Neville to shine in management

Manchester United Football Club saw one of their biggest legends turn his hand to management for the first time today, as Gary Neville was appointed the gaffer of Valencia CF. Shortly after the announcement, Sir Alex Ferguson shared his take on proceedings, and wished him all the best.

“Gary Neville has many attributes that suggest he will be successful in management.” Sir Alex Ferguson stated. “His leadership skills are strong, he’s honest and he’s hard working. He is also not afraid of making big decisions.”

“I think he’ll do well and I wish him, and his brother Phil, good luck.”

This is certainly high praise indeed from a man who has been there and done it all. Gary Neville looks to have all the credentials to succeed in management, and if his punditry masterclasses are anything to go by, he could well go an awfully long way as a coach.

Lets not forget that Phil Neville is also joining him as his assistant, and we wish him all the best too.
