Sky: Growing confidence Man United can get Bruno Fernandes deal done this week

Manchester United Football Club needs help in numerous positions, with the midfield being the key problem area for the Red Devils right now.

Bruno Fernandes has been the name most-often linked. We’ve tried to keep on top of the story here at Old Trafford Faithful. Anyway, we’ve been given another update on the ongoing saga today.

It comes from Sky Sports News, whose information from Portugal is telling them that there’s a ‘growing confidence’ that United can get a deal done for the 25-year-old, possibly ‘later this week’.

Apparently, the two clubs are yet to agree upon a fee which seems to be the main stumbling block, though with the January transfer window drawing to it’s close, I’d like to think that both parties can find some common ground.

As ever, superagent Jorge Mendes is involved in the deal – though United are trying to keep him out of it as they don’t want to pay him an agents fee.

One thing that Sky makes crystal clear is that Fernandes wants to make the move to United and we should hear more updates later on in the week.

At this stage, us United fans are getting desperate. We want to see at least one signing made this month and well, it feels as though Fernandes is the only potential transfer that even has a chance at happening…
