It’s clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants his man as Manchester United look to overhaul their squad.
On Sunday, we covered a story from Sky Sports which claimed that Crystal Palace had rejected the Red Devils’ initial £40million bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Well last night, another claim from Sky Sports was made – and it’s a positive one for United fans. This time around the British media outlet believe that the 20-time Premier League champions are preparing to make a second, improved offer for the talented Palace defender.
Talks between United and Palace are ongoing and the club have ‘indicated’ that another offer will be heading The Eagles’ way before too long.
It seems crystal clear to us that Wan-Bissaka is Solskjaer’s preferred right-back signing this summer. The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season with Palace, with the Reds identifying him as the number one candidate to replace Antonio Valencia who has now left Old Trafford.
With three years left on contract, United won’t have it all their own way and they will have to meet Palace’s demands.
While no deal looks close to being struck it’s nice to see the Reds go after their man early and swiftly. You’d imagine that only one of Wan-Bissaka or Wilfried Zaha will be allowed to leave Selhurst Park this summer, so let’s hope it’s the former.
