Sky: Marcus Rashford to drop to bench for England’s game against Kosovo tonight

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is ‘dropping to the bench’ for England’s international game against Kosovo tonight, according to Sky Sports News.

Apparently, the man taking his place is none other than Red Devils transfer target, Jadon Sancho, with the Borussia Dortmund man in fine form – scoring twice and assisting three in his first three Bundesliga matches of the season.

At first thought, I was left with a bitter taste in the mouth. I guess I never like to see United players dropped from anything, but actually, it works out well for us.

Rashford will now be feeling fresher for the all-important game against Leicester City this coming Saturday. At the end of the day, what happens for club is far more important than what happens for country.

After an excellent start against Chelsea, Rashford has fizzled out somewhat in the last few games and we need him back to his best as soon as possible – particularly if Anthony Martial is still missing through injury.

Not only will this benching allow him to focus on United, it’ll also make him hungrier to succeed as nobody likes being dropped under any circumstance. Hopefully, Rashford uses this as motivation and he comes back with a bang this Saturday.
