Manchester United Football Club nurtured one of the most talented players that I’ve ever witnessed; Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal star then made the move to Real Madrid in what was a world record deal at the time, and I genuinely thought we’d never see him back at Old Trafford again.
However, things tend to move very quickly in this sport that we love, and according to the usually reliable Sky Sports News, the 32-year-old is interested in rejoining Manchester United.

With everything that is going on regarding his tax avoiding situation, I just cannot help but think that this is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction from Ronaldo and his advisers. To me, it seems as though they are doing all they can to avoid him paying whatever money he owes, and trying to force Madrid’s hand into paying it for him.
We have to be honest. Madrid are the biggest team on the globe right now, and they challenge for major honours every single season. The Premier League is much more of a lottery, and I cannot see why he’d genuinely want to move back here unless United were offering some colossal wage packet.
I would absolutely love for him to become a Red Devil once again, purely for sentimental value alone. I’m hoping and praying that these rumours are true, but I’m braced for the news that he is ready to sign a new contract in Madrid, or something similar.
It couldn’t happen, could it?
