Manchester United have rediscovered their identity under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Red Devils winning six from six and having a far more positive outlook on the whole.
Things have been going wonderfully on the pitch and it looks as though we’re about to get a huge boost off the field, too.
According to Sky Sports News, Anthony Martial is close to agreeing a new five-year contract at Old Trafford. What massive news this is at the start of a new year.
The Frenchman, now 23, recently had a one-year contract extension activated due to a clause in his current deal – that was likely largely due to the fact that Jose Mourinho was still in charge and he wasn’t playing as regularly as he’d have liked.
Now, though, he’s playing week-in-week-out and enjoying his football. No doubt United will be offering him a huge wage to remain a Red Devil, but you have to say that he’s been our most consistent attacker this season and we desperately want him to stay.
He’s got a huge future ahead of him and if he continues to develop and grow he could turn into one of the best players in the world some day.
