Sky Sports: Manchester United’s stance on potential Saudi takeover confirmed

Manchester United Football Club are not for sale, despite rumours linking Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammad bin Salman with a huge takeover bid for the Old Trafford club.

Sky Sports News’ sources have quashed those rumours, with the Glazers clearly not planning on selling up anytime soon.

The Red Devils are valued at around £3billion, however, it’d apparently take an offer of in excess of £4billion to get the current owners even remotely interested into selling up and moving on.

Let’s be real here, if the ruler of Saudi Arabia wants to buy United, then the ruler of Saudi Arabia will be United. This is a super-rich individual we’re talking about, and £4billion would be a drop in the ocean for a man of his wealth. It’s like what happened at Manchester City a few years ago, and it would be intriguing to see what would unfold if the Red Devils had an equally rich individual at the helm.

However, I don’t want to get into politics too much, but there are a lot of issues regarding this potential sale. If the move were to happen, I’d certainly have my concerns. Let’s just leave it at that…
