Manchester United managed to ensure progression to the EFL Cup final last night, with Jose Mourinho’s men losing 2-1 away at the KCOM, but the 3-2 aggregate score means they’ll take on Southampton in the final next month. The game was somewhat of a drab-fest, but the big news came before kick-off.
Anthony Martial was left out of the starting eleven, and the squad completely which sent some Manchester United fans into absolute meltdown.
However, Sky Sports News have certainly eased those worries today on their Manchester United live blog, and they say that the 21-year-old Frenchman is happy at Old Trafford and doesn’t want to leave the club at this point in time.
This comes contrary to the report that The Times brought us earlier, who said that Martial isn’t content with life under Jose Mourinho, and wasn’t happy with the criticism he was receiving.
I’d tend to stick with Sky on this one, as we all know they are usually the most reliable source of information when it comes to football – and this is the news we all wanted to hear.
Anthony Martial is a top talent and a great player for this football club. Last season he was absolutely unreal, and maybe the change in style of play hasn’t helped him thus far. I personally feel he’ll come good though, because he’s still young and learning. He’ll adapt, and become into a key player for Jose Mourinho.
