Manchester United look to be embroiled in another huge transfer saga, and this one doesn’t look like ending anytime soon. It involves a potential deal to bring Paul Pogba back to the Theatre of Dreams, four years after he left the club in acrimonious circumstances.
This latest update is an absolutely huge one. It comes from Sky Sports, who say that Manchester United are set to make a colossal opening offer of £87million for the 23-year-old.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has reportedly met with Juventus officials today to make the offer official from Manchester United. However, they are believed to reject that in the hope for more money.
What a statement of intent this would be if Mourinho can pull this off – particularly without Champions League football on offer.
We all know Pogba’s capabilities, and he is without doubt one of the best midfielders on the planet when fit and firing. It won’t be easy, and you’d imagine the negotiations will be long and drawn out, but hopefully Woodward can pull it off.
