Sky Sports pundit reveals what he thinks Anthony Martial’s best position is

Manchester United have certainly looked like a team that are moving in the right direction again, with Jose Mourinho at the helm. Our Portuguese coach made some brilliant signings over the summer, and it’s fair to say he is making the most out of his strength in depth.

One man who hasn’t played anywhere near as many minutes as he’d have liked to this season is Anthony Martial, with the Frenchman having a massive reduction in minutes; particularly in the Premier League.

However, his form has been on a massive upturn recently and he’s definitely making that left-wing slot his own. Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has had his say on the situation, and despite the fact that Martial started things out as a central striker here, he believes the 21-year-old’s long-term future is indeed on the wing.

“Anthony Martial has reacted well to the reality check Mourinho has given him but I think his future is on that left-hand side,” Charlie Nicholas is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

The way he just glides past his marker really is exciting to watch, and there aren’t many better out there than Anthony Martial when he’s on song. It’s great that he’s fought his way back into Jose’s starting eleven and now Manchester United are reaping the rewards.

I certainly think Jose Mourinho’s man-management is massively underrated. Just look at the job he has done with both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and now Anthony Martial. The self-proclaimed Special One knows exactly what he is doing, and now the pair are flourishing. Hopefully, Luke Shaw is next.
