Sky Sports say Man Utd are monitoring the situation of proven English goalscorer

Manchester United have been struggling to score goals this term under Louis van Gaal, despite the best efforts of the 20-year old starlet Anthony Martial. The Old Trafford club are clearly intent on helping out the Frenchman by bringing in a new striker this January.

Sky Sports News say that United are keeping tabs on Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, but if they do go in for him, they are certain to face stiff competition for his signature with Chelsea and City both sniffing around the 28-year old.

Despite that, you’d imagine it’d be extremely tough to lure Vardy away from Leicester City in the middle of the season, unless an absurd amount of money was offered and the Foxes simply cannot refuse the huge payday.

He’d certainly bring some much-needed pace to the attack, and his goalscoring record in the top tier of English football cannot be denied. I’d personally take him in a heartbeat.
