Sky Sports say Man Utd icon ready to walk out on club this summer

Manchester United could be about to lose the services of one of the club’s greatest ever servants – Ryan Giggs. That’s according to Sky Sports News, who say the Welsh Wizard is ready to end a 29-year stay at Old Trafford, in search of a managerial job elsewhere.

It is thought that Giggs threw his name into the hat to take over from Louis van Gaal, but the club always seemed intent on hiring someone with a proven track record – that led them to Jose Mourinho.

Since then Giggs was offered a ‘reduced role’ to stay at the club, which was believed to be working towards bridging the gap between the U21s and the first team. A role which he has clearly turned down.

The United legend will leave the club frustrated due to the fact that the club didn’t trust him to take the manager job at Manchester United, but it was always going to be too big of a risk for Edward Woodward to take.
