Solskjaer confirms two huge injury blows, duo to miss next two games

Manchester United Football Club were brought crashing back down to earth last time out, when Paris Saint-Germain certainly showed us who is boss.

The fixture list is rapidly piling up with some extremely tough games just on the horizon. Next up is a trip to Stamford Bridge – a ground in which we’ve massively struggled out over recent seasons.

An FA Cup game, on the road, is always going to be hard, but things have been made even easier with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirming a couple of huge injury blows before the big game.

The Baby Faced Assassin has confirmed the worst in regards to both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard – who picked up problems during United’s 2-0 loss to PSG.

“I don’t think we will see them in the next two games,” Ole told ManUtd.com“Let’s hope they heal quickly, but it looks like they might be out for two or three weeks.”

“Again, Antonio [Valencia] is out, Matteo [Darmian] is out, but apart from that we are good to go.”

To lose these guys not only for Chelsea away, but also for Liverpool at home, is tough. These players’ pace and movement is an integral part of our attack and I fear we’ll look stagnant without them.

In will come both Juan Mata, who is slow, and Alexis Sanchez, who is struggling. The pair will have a real opportunity to prove that they do have a future at this club – but as of right now I’m not feeling all-too-confident.

Who knows, perhaps they’ll surprise us and put in some great displays because Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku are definitely going to need some help…
