Manchester United simply have to bounce back from their first meaningful loss they suffered under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last time out.
Against Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow evening, there is simply no room for mistakes. The Red Devils will have to be at their best to beat an in-form opponent who boast plenty of talent themselves.
Before the big game, the Baby Faced Assassin has met the media to deliver the all-important team news. Solskjaer confirmed that players are returning from injury, although one or two new problems have occurred.
“We’re still getting players [back],” Ole told ManUtd.com. “They’ve been training better this week so Jesse [Lingard] and Ander [Herrera] have been training. Romelu [Lukaku] has a sore foot so he will be assessed this morning [Friday] so let’s see if he can join in. Phil Jones is back so we’re looking stronger.”
“Mason [Greenwood] has been ill, so he’s not trained this week. He might be training this morning so let’s see how he is.”
Losing Romelu Lukaku is a huge blow if he doesn’t pull through. He has been the main goal-getter over the last fortnight and if a player of his quality is missing, then it does make the task significantly harder.
Thankfully, we have Marcus Rashford who can step up and play through the middle; obviously, that’s his best position.
Mason Greenwood did miss the U19s game against Midtjylland in the week, which led to rumours suggesting that he may well be involved tomorrow night. Unfortunately, it seems as though he was injured.
It is super to learn that both Phil Jones and Ander Herrera are back in the mix, though. Hopefully, the duo, along with Jesse Lingard, are fit and ready to go after the international break is over.
