Solskjaer: Manchester United is in my heart

Manchester United have found themselves a new manager, and what a popular appointment it will be.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is guaranteed to give absolutely everything to help return this club to its former glories, and what an opportunity the Norwegian forward has.

The Baby Faced Assassin was a simply stunning goalscorer during his time at Old Trafford, and although he’s endured a mixed career as a manager, this is a fitting, short-term appointment which will help steady the ship.

As you’d imagine, the 45-year-old sounded honoured to be appointed as United boss, as he claimed that this club is very much still in his heart.

“Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role. I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.

At the very least, this is a man who will be able to motivate this squad – at least in the short-term. He knows what it takes to play for this fantastic club, he knows the pride, the passion, the love that the fans feel towards this team.

One thing is for certain, when he walks out of that Old Trafford dugout on Boxing Day, he’ll get a fantastic reception from the fans, and they’ll be fully behind him all the way.

Now, it’s down to business for Solskjaer, and let’s hope we can start with a much-needed victory away at Cardiff this weekend.
