Manchester United take on Partizan Belgrade this evening as the Reds look to take control of their Europa League group.
Although Jesse Lingard is back in the squad for the clash, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has several players sidelined. David de Gea won’t make the trip, though he is expected to be fit for this weekend’s game against Norwich City.
However, United have been dealt another injury blow in regards to Paul Pogba. According to the official club website, Solskjaer has confirmed that the star 26-year-old will miss the Reds’ next two fixtures (against Partizan and Norwich).
The Baby Faced Assassin was asked directly whether Pogba will be fit for both games – and he replied no both times…
This ankle injury is now becoming a major concern. After missing three games with the problem throughout September, before coming back and playing against both Rochdale and Arsenal, we haven’t seen the Frenchman since.
He has now missed seven games and counting with the issue. At this point, I’d personally be surprised if we see him before the November international break.
Games are always harder without your best players and whether you like him or not, this squad needs Pogba’s creativity. The sooner he’s back the better it’ll be for everyone. Hopefully, he returns before the hectic winter schedule really starts to get going…
