Solskjaer sends strong message, says some players need ‘reality check’

Manchester United have been jolted straight back down to earth recently. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now knows just how big of a task this is.

The Red Devils don’t have a good squad, it’ll take time to fix that. In amongst it, though, there are some major talents. All hope is certainly not lost due to the fact that there is an excellent core to build around.

However, there is vast amounts of deadwood within that dressing room, and now, Solskjaer has given a damning assessment of some unnamed players, claiming they need a ‘reality check’.

“Most of the players have really impressed me with their attitude,” said Solskjaer per the BBC.

“But of course there are some that need to get a reality check on where they’re at.”

It seems as though that some members of the squad seem to think they’re better than they actually are. Who knows who the Baby Faced Assassin is actually talking about, but we can make guesses, right?

The first name that springs to my mind is Ander Herrera. He is demanding massive wages to stay at Old Trafford and maybe Solskjaer is trying to send a subliminal message to the midfielder…

Then you have talented but inconsistent players like Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez. They have so much potential and ability but they only seem to turn it on when it suits them. That’s just the complete wrong attitude to have in this sport and it seems as though Solskjaer isn’t going to tolerate that.

One thing we can all agree on is the fact that this overhaul job is a huge one. It’s going to take years rather than months and we need to stick behind our manager through the good times and the bad,
