Manchester United Football Club spent £24million to bring in Ander Herrera just a couple of summers ago, and in his first season it looked like a real steal. However this year he hasn’t been anywhere near as productive on the pitch which must be a real concern.
However the Spaniard has reiterated his desire to stay at Old Trafford for the years to come, which is always great to hear.
“The team has changed a lot. This club was the most successful in England. It still is. But that was 3, 4 years ago.” Herrera began. “Now we are not yet again. We can start with the FA Cup trophy.”
“But I am a Man Utd player and I want to be that for a long time and I want to enjoy the Man Utd that everyone knows.”
Ander Herrera really is a loveable bloke, and he is one of the few overseas players who understands the history and traditions of Manchester United.
Sadly this year he hasn’t been anywhere near good enough, and thats why he has found himself out of the team more often than not. He clearly has the talent and ability to turn it around, and hopefully next season he comes back firing.
The 26-year old gives us some movement in midfield, which is something we’ve usually been lacking this season. If he can get a run of games under his belt, he should be able to establish himself as a first-team regular once again.
