Several comparisons between our strike force from the treble winning season of 1999 and the four strikers we have now, and United’s betting partner Bwin decided to put on a little test. Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole formed a ‘telepathic’ partnership almost fifteen years ago, and our current strikers have attempted to match them.
England number one Joe Hart has been discussing the general mood amongst the England camp, and adds that the morale amongst the group, although they play for different Premier League clubs is a respectful one. Hart also added Danny Welbeck is a massive United fan, making him hard to crack.
The 22-year old striker is amongst five for the England Player of the Year award, alongside Joe Hart, Ashley Cole, as well as Liverpool duo Glen Johnson and Steven Gerrard. Welbeck featured for England 11 times in 2012, scoring five goals, which is more than any other player.

With the news that Robin van Persie is due to have a medical at Manchester United, Ian Walsh has decided to take a look what the deal means for the club and how he will fit in. Ian has his own blog at Touchline Views, check out his previews for each Premier League team here.
Sir Alex Ferguson spoke to PA Sport about Danny Welbeck’s contract situation, he confirmed that talks are still ongoing but no deal has yet been agreed. He was also asked about Welbeck’s strike partner, Wayne Rooney.
Danny Welbeck is your average 21-year old lad from Manchester, and the last 12 months have seen him grow as a person and a footballer alike, rising through the United ranks and earning a highly sought-after spot amongst our senior squad.
