Manchester United Football Club made some monumental signings over the summer, with Jose Mourinho investing heavily in the playing squad. Now the January transfer window is fast approaching, and behind the scenes, the club will be planning some more business if they deem it possible.
Ahead of the opening, we’ve decided to pick out three players who we believe could be made Manchester United players during the window if the opportunity arises. Remember, this is just our opinion so please don’t take it as gospel.
Victor Lindelof –
The Swedish centre-half has been linked with a move to Manchester United today, with Sky Sports News saying that talks have already begun regarding a £38million transfer.
Lindelof, 22, plays his football for SL Benfica in the Portuguese league, and has really made a name for himself recently.
James Rodriguez –
James Rodriguez had a simply stunning World Cup before he made the move to Real Madrid, but his career out in Spain hasn’t kicked on to that next level for one reason or another.
Now, there are murmurs that he could well be looking to move clubs if the opportunity presents itself.
The Columbian is an outstanding player on his day, capable of scoring some cracking goals when on form. He’d be a fine acquisition for any Premier League side, but he’d cost a pretty penny.
John Obi Mikel –
The midfield has been pretty solid recently, but as a side, United do look pretty thin on the ground in the middle of the park if a couple of injuries were to come to the fore.
John Obi Mikel could well be set for the Chelsea exit door, and you wouldn’t put it past Jose Mourinho to make a move for the Nigerian who is only 29. It wasn’t that long ago that The Sun were suggesting a move could happen…
