Manchester United are currently out in Dubai enjoying some warm weather training, allowing the squad to recuperate following an extremely hectic winter period.
Now, according to the Daily Mirror, news has emerged that three key players didn’t jet off to the middle-East to join the rest of the squad for some fun in the sun.
Those players include Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly. Presumably, these two didn’t go because of their current injury situations. Ibrahimovic was ruled out for a month not long ago, whereas who knows what’s going on with Bailly at the moment, which is a shame because he’s our best defender.
The third player missing is Sergio Romero – which is a little odd. As far as I’m aware, the Argentine isn’t injured or anything, he’s just not travelling. However, both Joel Pereira and Kieran O’Hara have both travelled with the squad, who are United’s third and fourth choice keepers.
Perhaps we’ll learn more from Mourinho about why Romero didn’t go, but this is a great opportunity for the squad to relax. They don’t play for another seven days which is huge, and I’m hopeful that we’ll see some excellent performances from the lads upon their return to Manchester.
