Manchester United Football Club are a team who utilise the full capacity of their squad, with Louis van Gaal often tinkering with the side and mixing thins up. We’ve named three players who we feel must continue to start for the Iron Tulip as we enter the hectic winter schedule.
First on this list is Memphis Depay. He has been made somewhat of a scapegoat over the last month and an unfair one at that. This weekend he shown exactly what he is capable of when given a run in the side, and he looked absolutely outstanding from minute one.
Second up is Jesse Lingard. The young man has been a breath of fresh air over the last few games for Manchester United. He looks hungry and eager to succeed and that has been huge for the club. We only have a few players with the ability to beat a man, and Lingard is certainly one of them. One area he has to work on is his finishing, but that will come.
The third and final player who must continue to start is Ander Herrera. Unfortunately he suffered an injury over the weekend and has been ruled out of the game against PSV this midweek, but the impact he has on the field is clear for all to see. His movement, intelligence and ability to run with the ball has been a joy to watch since his arrival at the club, and long may that continue.
