Manchester United’s squad is still looking rather thin on the ground – particularly in the midfield area.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could well be looking to address those problems in January, with a potential move for Christian Eriksen.
However, according to the Daily Star, the classy 27-year-old is set to snub a January Man United move – with United set to weigh in with a £20m offer in the new year.
This would be the second time in six months that Eriksen will have turned down United. Understandably, the Danish playmaker is content to run down his contract and move as a free agent next summer – where he could switch clubs on lucrative personal terms due to a lack of transfer fee.

Don’t forget that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho wouldn’t have completely given up hope on trying to get the attacking-midfielder to commit his future to White Hart Lane.
Spurs’ businessman Daniel Levy, who wanted £80m for Eriksen over the summer, would accept a £25m transfer fee to sell the Dane next month. If United could get him for that it’d be an absolute bargain – but only if the player wants to be here…
