Transfer Talk: Louis van Gaal eyes £20m move for Alexis Sanchez

According to the usually reliable Guardian, Manchester United and Louis van Gaal are seriously considering a £20million move for want away Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez. They ad that United’s interest is yet to reach an advanced stage, despite Van Gaal’s admiration for the right-winger.

Sanchez is just what United need – a winger who contributes on the goals front. The Chilean managed 21 goals and fifteen assists in all competitions last season, but it looks as though Barcelona have a preference towards Pedro and Gerard Deulofeu.

Van Gaal loves the 4-3-3 formation, and a front three of Alexis Sanchez, Adnan Januzaj and Robin van Persie is extremely appealing. Theres bags of goals, assists and skill amongst them, and with the right midfielders and defence behind them then we could find ourselves back at the top sooner than we think.

It feels like Alexis Sanchez has been around for an age already, and at just 25 he has plenty of football left to offer. Sanchez cost Barca over £30million in the end, and it looks as though they are certainly prepared to make a loss on the winger.
